Group Payment Plans

Upon purchasing a payment plan for a group room, one person will need to purchase the first initial payment. You will be asked for the emails of all parties before completing checkout. Each member of the group will then receive an invoice each month for their individual part of the payment plan. If one group member fails to make 2 or more payments, they will not be permitted to attend. The remaining group members will not be affected by this. 

The coach house

The recently renovated Coach House has 10 double bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. With a bar and dance hall. This building is located directly behind the main chateau with stunning view of the garden.

THE ATLAS ROOM

The Chateau

Built in 1854 by one of the most eminent families of France (La Rochefoucauld) Chateau Challain is an exceptional example of net-gothic romanticism. A labour of love finished by Madame Rochefoucauld after the tragic death of her husband, the chateau offers everything you could possibly imagine from a structure of its’ grandeur.

These are the most opulent accomadations we offer for this vent for those wanting a truly royal experience.

The king's room

The Kings Suite is the ultimate retreat for those seeking a regal experience. As history dictates, the higher your status, the closer to the ground floor you slept, and this majestic room located on the ground floor and south side of the chateau is truly fit for a king.

Featuring the tallest four poster bed in the property and some of the most exquisite artisanal carpentry, the attention to detail in the elaborately hand-carved neo-gothic furniture is stunning. The vintage chandelier gently illuminates the room, highlighting the impressive windows draped in their fleur de lis valance, which offer a vista of the south side of the chateau, lake, and lawn.

The princess's room

the annexed bedroom of this suite is known as the ‘Princess Tower.’ The south western tower contains three beds, including a double and two single four-poster beds, with historically protected original hand-painted walls and ceiling picked out in gold. This suite is perfect for a group of friends . The queen bed and twin beds are all in the same room.

The elegantly restored Royal bath suite features floor-to-ceiling tiling and boasts a large Italian shower and bathtub. Nestled between all of these rooms is the Breakfast Room, which offers yet more breathtaking views of the surrounding grounds. Booking the Kings Suite  with this suite is great for large groups.

The Romance Suite at our chateau is truly the epitome of romance. With a king-sized canopy bed draped with silk curtains and elegant upholstered walls. 

The original vaulted ceiling has been delicately restored and the large ornate four-poster bed decorated in red with splashes of ivory provides both style and comfort. The rose marble fireplace adds that final note of authenticity, making this suite the perfect romantic retreat.

Featuring the most spacious en suite bathroom in the whole of the chateau, the Greco-Roman style tiled bathroom provides a roll top bath tub, a ‘his and hers’ stone basin dresser, and a generous walk-in shower. The tall windows overlooking the well-manicured front gardens and the memorial tower provide a beautiful view from the comfort of your suite.

Make sure to visit the Breakfast Room located to the right of the main bedroom. Indulge in a fine selection of tea, coffee, and patisseries while taking in the surrounding splendor with your loved one.

The Breakfast room is complete with a seated area where you can enjoy views of the southern garden and a bed for additional guests. The vaulted ceiling adds to the charm of this well-lit room. The Tower’s Bathroom features hand-painted wall coverings above the fireplace that set the tone for the rest of the room.

Equipped with a shower, vanity, toilet, and wardrobe space, this powder room is both functional and elegant. It’s perfect for preparing for the big day or just unwinding after a long day of exploring the chateau.

The black marbled fireplace stands between the wooden paneled wainscot and the tall windows offer central views of the front gardens and memorial tower. The adjoining single bedroom also offers central views of the gardens, with a daybed and a chest of drawers.

Mixing cosy with class, the Mai is perfect for the weary traveler. Close to the very center of all the action, this bedroom has a shared bathroom conveniently located on the same floor in the northwestern tower. The bathroom includes a W.C., vanity, and shower.
